It's been a tough year of celebrity breakups.

There was Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Amy Schumer and Ben Hanisch, and Kylie Jenner and Tyga – just to name a few.

So it's refreshing to actually see a young Hollywood couple going strong, despite the paparazzi, travel schedules, and pressures that come along with everyone watching your relationship like a hawk.

Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid are here to be that light in the middle of a dark tunnel of celebrity breakups.

Although they briefly split up and got back together last summer, the famous lovebirds have been linked since November 2015. That's a long time for a Hollywood couple — or literally anyone in their 20s.

Perhaps everyone could take a few notes from these two on how they make it work. Allow Zayn to explain…

The 24-year-old former One Direction member recently opened up to the Evening Standard about his relationship with the 22-year-old supermodel.

Speaking on what it's like being part of such a famous couple, Malik revealed,

In New York [where Hadid is based], you can sometimes get out in the early hours of the morning for a walk.

But there's no underground parking here, no escape routes. So they're going to get pictures, they're going to find you. In LA [his own usual US base], it's more catered to these things — you've got back entrances and that.

While he acknowledged their level of fame, he still insisted they are just a “normal couple.”

Responding to whether or not it helps to have a partner who is used to the limelight, like Hadid, he said,

She gets it, she's very understanding.

But I can understand how it can look, that you've got these two people in a ‘power couple.'

That's not something I want to be a part of. I'm with her because I like her and I hope she's with me because she likes me. When we come home, we don't really talk about that sh*t. We just spend time together as a normal couple, cook food, watch TV, have a laugh.

Awwww, how sweet.

OK, but that's kind of where the “normal” ends because then the “Pillowtalk” singer started talking about what he likes to cook and it's… not what you'd expect.

He shared,

I've got into a thing of cooking pies recently. I cook a mean chicken and sweetcorn pie, with Alfredo sauce. I make my own pastry, roll it out and everything.

I'm not saying I wouldn't eat it, but that's just not what I picture Malik making for his Victoria's Secret model girlfriend.

It's good to know if he or Hadid ever want to take a break from singing and modeling, they can always open up a pie shop somewhere. In fact, I'm almost certain that would be wildly successful.

Zayn Malik Gushes Over Gigi Hadid In Adorable New Interview: “She Gets It”

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik will appear on the cover of this August's VOGUE – marking the third American VOGUE cover in just one year for the model and the first for her 24-year-old pop star boyfriend.

Hadid also got her chance to answer some unique questions, often with props, during a traveling interview through an IMG office building as a part of the magazine's “73 Questions” series.

Among other things, she was asked what position she played on her high school volleyball team (outside hitter), how it felt to have her own Barbie doll (major), and what she needs at all her photo shoots (chips and guac).

Hadid was also asked a series of questions about her boyfriend, revealing that yes, he does like to cook pies, and no, she doesn't have a favorite one of his tattoos. She does have a favorite one of Malik's pies though: chicken and sweet corn. She said eating it is “like a hug.”

When asked about the most romantic thing Malik had ever done for her, Hadid replied that he took her on a Valentine's Day boat trip “a couple of years ago,” probably meaning Valentine's Day 2016, considering Malik was still engaged the year before.

Both stars were white-hot at the time if the boat ride did happen in 2016: Malik was about to release his first solo album and still less than a year out from his high-profile departure from One Direction, and Hadid was about to appear on the cover of Teen Vogue, kicking off an 18-month period in which she appeared 22 times on the cover of various magazines in the VOGUE family.

So, the fact that they managed to evade a paparazzi capture on this love boat ride is pretty remarkable.

Maybe that's why she described it with a smile as “really nice,” and why she and Malik are still together — and more in love than ever — after dating for almost two years.

Gigi Hadid Reveals The Sweetest Thing Zayn Malik Ever Did For Her

The VMAs are almost here, which means the hottest celebs, greatest music, and epic performances are about to grace our television screens. Also, if we're lucky, there might be a reunion or two. Harry Styles and Zayn Malik's VMAs nominations were announced, which basically means One Direction is back in full swing, right?

Sure, sure, fans all THINK Harry might be dating former bandmate Louis Tomlinson, but seeing Malik and Styles together again is a different animal, considering how successful and sexy their respective solo careers have been.

Malik left the group in 2015, and has since enjoyed, IDK, a just fine solo career? Mostly, he's known for his steamy relationship with supermodel Gigi Hadid. Styles followed in his footsteps this year, and released his first single “Sign Of The Times” to everyone's dire delight.

Malik is nominated for Best Collaboration with Taylor Swift on their Fifty Shades Darker track, “I Don't Wanna Live Forever,” and Styles is nominated for the Best Pop category as well as Best Visual Effects for his “Sign Of The Times” music video.

Harry Styles & Zayn Malik Both Got VMAs Nominations, So It's Basically A 1D Reunion

Do you guys know about the girl group Little Mix? Did you know Zayn Malik's ex-girlfriend Perrie is, like, super hot and talented and fun? Did you guys know she has a song called “Shout Out To My Ex?” If you didn't, now ya do. Fans are also speculating Perrie Edwards shaded Gigi Hadid with a lyric change at a recent concert in New Zealand, and TBH, the jury is still out.

The song “Shout Out To My Ex” is a super delightful girl-power romp, and also my new fave breakup anthem. The lyrics also all point to Zayn, as they reference a four year relationship, which is how long he and Edwards were together, and tattoos, which he has. In the first few seconds of the song, Edwards sings the lyrics,

I hope she gettin' better sex / Hope she ain't fakin' it like I did, babe… 

Ready for the plot twist? Over the weekend, fans are saying Edward tweaked these lines into something a little more, um, direct at her New Zealand concert.

Rather than singing “faking it like I did,” fans say they heard Edwards sing, “faking it like Hadid.” As in, Gigi Hadid. Ya know the one I'm talking about… Zayn's new, serious girlfriend.

Here, you tell me…

I don't know. I don't know. I don't know.

I probably wouldn't draw the conclusion on my own, but the way Edwards looks at her bandmate in surprise and the two giggle immediately following the lyric is certainly suspect. Some fans say Edwards' voice cracked while singing, though, and that's why they're laughing.

One fan slowed it down to see if we could make out the lyric-swap more clearly, but between you and me I think it makes it harder to hear.

Still, whether Edwards meant to throw the shade or not, we know she is over Malik. How do we know? Oh, just her new smoking hot, English-football player boyfriend, Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlain. The two have been seeing each other since January 2017.

These 9 Zayn Lyrics Could Be About Gigi Hadid And We're Swooning

Some people watch the Teen Choice Awards for the live entertainment. Others watch to see red carpet looks. I watch to see awkward ex-encounters. If you're going to run into an ex, the Teen Choice Awards is the best place to do it. Each celeb arrives looking flawless, dripping in jewels, and feeling like an overall bad*ss. For example, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez will be an interesting rendezvous. Not only are they very famous exes, Gomez will probably arrive with boyfriend, The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye). Adding more awkwardness, The Weeknd and Bieber are going head-to-head for “Choice Male Artist.” Gomez is also nominated in three categories. Eat your heart out, Bieber.

While that will be juicy, Gomez and Bieber aren't the only set of exes to watch out for. Below are six celebrity exes who will more than likely have to engage in awkward pleasantries and fake good-to-see-you side hugs. Oh, that makes my palms sweat.

1. Michelle Rodriguez and Zac Efron

Remember when Michelle Rodriguez and Zac Efron were seen making out on a boat in Ibiza in 2014? Weird, wild times. The pair split in August 2014 after only two months. It doesn't seem like there are any hard feelings, and Rodriguez didn't seem jostled by the split… at all. She told Entertainment Tonight during an interview shortly after the split,

I have absolutely nothing consistent in my life … I'm a lone wolf. I run by myself on most things. I've got lots of really great friends, but the thought of being in a long-lasting relationship? Psh, I couldn't last more than six months with somebody, let alone have a father figure around for a kid.

Alrighty, then. Hopefully Efron also had this laid-back attitude. Rodriguez is nominated for “Choice Action Movie Actress” for her role in The Fate of the Furious. Efron is nominated for “Choice Comedy Movie Actor” for Baywatch. This means they'll both more than likely be in attendance. Ibiza reunion, anyone?

2. Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards

I'm predicting that Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards are going to try and avoid each other. Little Mix is nominated for “Choice Music Group,” so she'll definitely be lurking around. Malik is also expected to show because he is nominated for his collab with Taylor Swift in “I Don't Wanna Live Forever.”

Malik and Edwards have been feuding since their breakup in 2016. Edwards was p*ssed and wanted everyone to know about it. Even Malik's current GF, Gigi Hadid, had to step in. After the song “Shout Out To My Ex” was released, Hadid had to remind everyone who is boss.

According to a source from Perez Hilton, the line “Heard he in love with some other chick” was originally “Heard he been f*cking some model chick.” Ouch. The source also said,

Gigi wishes Perrie would just move on and leave her and Zayn alone. She thinks the song and the lyrics are immature.

I have a feeling Malik and Edwards will be sitting very, very far apart.

3. Becky G and Austin Mahone

Becky G and Austin Mahone had a fling in 2016. Like most teenagers, once they broke up, they took their frustration out on Twitter. The series of tweets went something like this:

Becky G: “Honestly I can't be mad… I might have to tip my hat”
Austin: “Don't be sad that it's over, be happy that it happened”
Becky G: “Throwing shade like it's sunny”

LOL I freaking live for this kind of thing. Will these two run into each other at the Awards? Honestly, probably. Becky G is nominated for her role in Power Rangers. Even though Mahone isn't nominated this year, he has walked the red carpet for the past three years — don't think he'll miss.

4. Camila Cabello and Louis Tomlinson

Before Louis Tomlinson was the cutest dad alive, he reportedly dated Camila Cabello. Rumors first started about these two back in 2015 when they were seen out all over Los Angeles together. Since then, Cabello has left Fifth Harmony to pursue a solo career and Tomlinson welcomed son, Freddie Reign, in January 2016. A lot has happened in the past two years, so I'm sure it's all water under the bridge.

Cabello is nominated as “Choice Song: Female Artist” for “Crying in the Club,” and Tomlinson is nominated for his collab with Steve Aoki in “Just Hold On.”

5. Tom Hiddleston and Taylor Swift

RIP Hiddleswift, we barely knew you. Taylor Swift has barely emerged in the past year, so I really hope she hits the red carpet at the Teen Choice Awards. It's almost not fair if she doesn't. While it's not likely she'll be attending with current rumored boyfriend, Joe Alwyn — they keep their relationship more private than I keep my browsing history — I bet she's hoping to avoid Tom Hiddleston. Their relationship fizzled out faster than you can say “Was this relationship for publicity?”

6. Taylor Lautner and Billie Lourd

This is a couple I hope reunites on the red carpet. Lautner is nominated for his role in Run The Tide, so he will probably be in attendance. Even though Lourd is not nominated, this red carpet seems right up her alley. I would not be surprised if she made an appearance to promote her latest role in American Horror Story. Maybe these two will fall back in love… please?

Hollywood's hottest couple is missing in action, and naturally, fans are wondering: Where are Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik at the VMAs? This year marks a great deal of accomplishments for the two. Speaking of making a statement, it looks like former bandmate Harry Styles also received a nom this year for his solo work, so we're hanging tight to see if the VMAs will produce some type of mini 1D reunion (fans can only hope). Malik is nominated for Best Collaboration with Taylor Swift on the super steamy Fifty Shades Darker single, “I Don't Wanna Live Forever.”  Styles is nominated for the Best Pop category and Best Visual Effects for “Sign Of The Times.”

Zayn Malik & Gigi Hadid Didn't Walk The VMAs Red Carpet And Fans Are Wondering Why

The wait for the highly anticipated “Dusk Till Dawn” is over! Zayn dropped his new single “Dusk Till Dawn” featuring Sia and its music video at 8 a.m. EST on Thursday, Sept. 7, and it's a seriously action-packed video starring Zayn and Jemima Kirke from Girls. The “Dusk Till Dawn” lyrics are super romantic, so even though the video is action-packed, Zayn still delivered us a love song and fans are living for it. His and Sia's voices also go great together, so it's an all-around jam.

The video features Zayn and Kirke as a couple of criminals — basically millennial Bonnie and Clyde — performing some kind of heist. You think Kirke frames Zayn and leaves him when he gets arrested, but it's actually all part of their ~master plan~. The lyrics are all about wanting the person you love to know that you'll always be there for them, and it's emotional AF. Zayn and Sia did that. I never knew how badly I needed Zayn and Sia to do song together until today.

The “Dusk Till Dawn” music video is basically a cross between Bonnie & Clyde and all of the Fast & Furious movies, so that's fun. If this is Zayn's official audition for another Fast & Furious spinoff, I could be into it.

It wasn't long before fans were sobbing over Zayn's new music.

There's a scene in the video where Zayn is being interrogated by a cop. The cop's trying to intimidate him, but Zayn isn't having it. The possible One Direction shade comes in when the cop says to Zayn,

Your life in the daytime is over. There's eyes on you everywhere, you know that, right? I'm watching you. My crew's watching you. You know your little homies? They pissed off. They mad at you, bro. Your name is mud on the streets. Oh, I know who you are.

Then Zayn dramatically responds, “You don't know me.” Yeah, random cop man, ~you don't know him~. I'm taking this whole scene as Zayn responding to all of the hate he got when he left One Direction. “Your life in the daytime is over” and the few lines after are obviously a nod to his fame and how he doesn't get any privacy.

“You know your little homies? They pissed off. They mad at you, bro” has to be about his former 1D bandmates who stopped speaking to him altogether after he left the group. I don't know, maybe that's just me, but I feel like this song is all about him leaving One Direction and losing four of his best friends as a result, and then finding solace in his relationship with Gigi Hadid. But that's just me!!

Zayn Dropped An Action-Packed New Video For “Dusk Till Dawn” And It's Super Sexy

Zayn Malik woke us all up on Sept. 7 to unleash his newest single, and I'm not mad about it. Zayn Malik's “Dusk Till Dawn” features Sia on vocals, but even more celebrities in the high-adrenaline music video. The video is action-packed and has a super sexy vibe.

The “Still Got Time” singer announced the release via social media on Friday, Sept. 1, giving fans almost a whole week to prepare. Much appreciated, Zayn. The artwork was definitely mysterious. The neon lettering mixed with old-school painted characters gave the whole thing a very retro feel. However, there was a lot left to the imagination before the official release.

We all knew Sia and Zayn would sound amazing together (no, duh), but Jemima Kirke starring in the Marc Webb directed music video also had fans pumped for the release. You may recognize Kirke from her role as Jessa on Girls; she's an amazing actress. In the music video, she plays a mysterious woman who has some connection to Zayn. With the dark lighting and fast cars, I'm telling you, this video had my heart pumping.

Zayn is definitely creating a big name for himself as a solo artist in the music world. When discussing his growth as a songwriter with VMAN magazine, he said this about his sophomore album,

I feel like my songwriting definitely developed, just because I've been doing it so much. I feel like the songs are a bit more organized, where I felt like, before, that Mind of Mine was a brainstorm. That's why I called it Mind of Mine, because it was ideas that I had that I put out. This one is more thought out. I had more time to process everything and go through it all. It's an evolution.

Needless to say, I love his new music and can't wait for more of it. Congrats on all your success, Zayn.

Zayn just dropped his new single and music video “Dusk Till Dawn,” and fans are already losing their minds over the love song and action-packed video. It's got a serious Bonnie and Clyde vibe to it, leaving fans wondering: Is “Dusk Till Dawn” about Gigi Hadid? Given Jemima Kirke's resemblance to the model, it's definitely possible.

Basically, what has fans thinking “Dusk Till Dawn” is about Gigi Hadid is that it's a massive love song. Granted, artists can write songs about anything without it being about their personal lives, but where's the fun in that? Nah, we're going to choose to believe this is about Gigi Hadid. The lyrics are romantic AF and talk about loving and supporting your partner come hell or high water. The “Dusk Till Dawn” lyrics go:

Fans were immediately like, “Gigi, honey, your man loves you.”

The “Dusk Till Dawn” lyrics definitely tell an epic love story. And with Jemima Kirke having some really similar features to Hadid, it's hard not to imagine that Zayn was thinking of Hadid when writing this song and creating the video.

Hadid was super excited for the song's release as well, and she posted on her Instagram story in support of her bae.

That high note is dedicated to you, girl. Zayn did that.

Fans Think Zayn's New Song Is About Gigi Hadid And It's Adorable

If you recently mourned the loss of Zayn Malik's hair, you weren't alone. Zayn unexpectedly shaved all of his hair off, showing off a bald head in a recent Facebook pic with girlfriend Gigi Hadid and his mom. Why did Zayn Malik shave his head? The reason is pretty surprising, but he's explaining all to clear up any confusion.

No, Zayn isn't leaning into going bald and embracing the chrome dome, it was completely done out of necessity. You see, his head of beautiful hair finally fell victim to some major over-abuse. We're talking about all the hair colors he's tried out. You know that hair dye takes its toll after awhile and you're eventually left with a head of damaged locks.

It's not cute.

So Zayn made a total fresh start, taking the clippers to his head and removing all the damaged stuff to make way for what I can only imagine will be even more beautiful and lustrous when it all grows back.

So, here's the story. Zayn told Scott Mills on BBC Radio 1 the real reason for shaving his head, explaining: “I just shaved my head because I'd bleached it too many times and it was a bit destroyed. The bleach affects your hair, doesn't it, so you've got to shave it off.”

Turns out Zayn has some ambitious hair follicles, because he said it's already making a comeback. He told the radio host: “It grows back straight away anyways, so I've got hair now anyway, it only took two days!”

When Zayn first shaved his head, there were a fair amount of surprised fan responses, as many were saddened to see it go. Some fans were in complete despair, such as one fan who tweeted: “Where's Zayn's hair, I'm gonna cry.”

One Twitter user took an opportunity to pause and remind everyone of one of Zayn's finest ‘dos ever. Ah, memories:

Another person commented: “zayn took the ‘zayn will always look good with any hair style' way too seriously,” while another Twitter user made the always painful One Direction comparison, tweeting: “Even zayn's hair left.” Ouch. That still hurts a little bit, doesn't it?

Another fan found the perfect Taylor Swift-related joke to make about the death of Zayn's hair. Seriously, this is so well played:

One fan on Twitter pointed to how all-around talented Zayn is, even when it comes to his hair, tweeting: “He can grow his hair in two days too? Seriously what the f*ck can't Zayn Malik do.”

Life will go on, hair will grow, and Zayn will no doubt try out another color to mix things up. So be assured that the bald bit isn't going to be around for long.

Back to his interview, Zayn talked about what he likes to watch on Netflix when traveling (documentaries!), and how it works having multiple homes and coming back to find some interesting things in his refrigerator. Oh, the price to pay for being mega-famous.

He also talked about working with Sia on his new song, “Dusk Till Dawn” and it turns out he didn't actually get to meet her! He explained, “Hopefully in the future, I'll get to meet her.”

Zayn also admitted he didn't initially have Sia in mind when he wrote the song, explaining, “This was kind of weird because I wrote the song, I didn't really have much in mind for it, and then it came to me maybe like a month after I had the song. I was like ‘Sia would sound really good on this.'” His manager played it for her and she liked it and wanted to collaborate with Zayn.

Zayn Malik Reveals The Reason He Decided To Shave His Head & It's Pretty Surprising

Zayn Malik isn't really one to give his opinions on anything. It's rare that we hear the singer reveal private details about his life, but he has dished some details about his relationship with his girlfriend, Gigi Hadid. But in a recent interview with Elle UK, Malik got unexpectedly candid about his professional and personal friendship with Taylor Swift, who once had a short-lived relationship with his former One Direction bandmate, Harry Styles. When asked what he thinks of the controversy surrounding Swift in the media following the release of her recent single “Look What You Made Me Do,” Malik was pretty blunt in his response. In fact, Zayn Malik on Taylor Swift's new album drama is probably the most open he's been in a while. The “Dusk Till Dawn” singer told the outlet,

…when it comes to anything that has to do with trivia about people's personal lives or things that's going on in their careers, I don't necessarily pay too much attention. I don't pay too much attention to what people even say about me. I just tend to take it for what it is when I meet them people in real life and have a conversation with them. If they're cool with me, then I base my relationship on that.

Malik and Swift recently worked together on the single and video for “I Don't Wanna Live Forever,” which was created for the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack. He continued,

In terms of relating to it, of course I relate to things being written about us all the time. But I don't listen to it. I rate her as an artist, I think she's cool, I think she's successful, and I think she deserves her success because she's worked hard. That's just how I look at it. I did a song with her, it was fun, she was professional. She gets on with my girlfriend, they're good friends. I don't have a bad word to say about her. She's cool.

No one else from Swift's squad has spoken publicly about Swift's “LWYMMD” music video. Some have talked about the song itself, praising it, of course, but most did not say anything about the video, which is interesting. Some fans believe this is shady, but I think it's more of a “don't give power to the hate by speaking of it” kind of thing. Swift is very deliberate about any and all info that comes out of her camp, which likely means she's already spoken to her “squad” about how she would be approaching press coverage for her new album, set to release Friday, Nov. 10.

Swift's new album, reputation, is seemingly going to touch more on the fact that the media doesn't let her catch a break when it comes to her career and her personal life. Based on “LWYMMD,” it seems like Swift believes she's been unfairly judged over the years and wants to change things up. The lyrics in “LWYMMD” seem to directly call out her feud with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West when she sings, “I don't like your little games, don't like your tilted stage.” The signature of Kanye West's most recent tour, the Saint Pablo Tour, was a stage that was elevated over the audience and, yes, was tilted down into the crowd at points.

Zayn and Taylor no doubt have spent lots of time together through their collaboration on “I Don't Wanna Live Forever” and through Taylor's close friendship with Gigi Hadid. We'll have to wait and see what other people in Swift's circle come out to defend her as she releases more music from reputation.
